Hello there! I’m Jasoel Joshua Marino, an English major graduate who proudly graduated Cum Laude. With five years of experience in teaching English, I have developed a strong foundation in language instruction and a passion for helping students excel in their language skills.
To further enhance my teaching expertise, I have obtained certifications in CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) from ICOES. These certifications have equipped me with a diverse range of strategies and methodologies to effectively engage learners of different age groups and proficiency levels.
Outside of the classroom, I have a deep appreciation for exploring new cultures and broadening my horizons. I have had the opportunity to travel to numerous islands and places, nurturing my curiosity about different cultures and traditions. My ultimate goal is to experience the rich diversity of every continent’s culture, as I believe that immersing oneself in new environments provides invaluable insights and a broader perspective of the world.
In my free time, I find solace in spending time outdoors and embarking on treks. Nature has always held a special place in my heart, and I believe that being surrounded by its beauty can inspire and rejuvenate the mind. Moreover, I enjoy meeting new people from various places, as it allows me to learn from their unique experiences and gain a more nuanced understanding of the world we live in.
A motto that holds deep meaning for me is “Memento mori,” which translates to “Remember that you must die.” This Latin phrase serves as a reminder of the transient nature of life and the importance of living each moment to the fullest. It motivates me to embrace new experiences, pursue my passions relentlessly, and instill in my students the value of seizing opportunities and making the most of their educational journey.
With my English teaching background, diverse certifications, and enthusiasm for cultural exploration, I aim to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment for my students. By incorporating real-world examples, multicultural perspectives, and a student-centered approach, I strive to empower my learners to develop their language skills, expand their cultural knowledge, and become global citizens who can effectively communicate and thrive in an interconnected world.
